I find myself avoiding JavaScript libraries and sticking to old school JavaScript as much as I can – there are just some times that it weighs more than it needs to relative to the type of site. But Modernizr is the one piece of code that I’ll always use on a site!
I just happened across a new ‘showcase’ website of sites using HTML5, go check it out.
I think 2009 is going to be the year of HTML 5. I took the plunge and others are doing the same. If we, as developers and designers, don’t start using it and working with it on a regular basis, we’ll never be able to give the needed feedback before the final draft is released.
